Is it worth having a repair kit when traveling or camping?
is a set of repair tools designed to enable you to perform basic repairs on your own while in the field or on the road—whether for a recreational vehicle, boat, yacht, tent, or camping, water sports, fishing, or beach toys. A motorhome, trailer, or yacht is a complex piece of equipment made of various materials, with numerous joints and seals that cannot fail while traveling. However, if they do fail, you need to have the tools to fix them and know how to do it.
Drawing on over 33 years of experience in the use of chemicals and building on a comprehensive product line developed over the past 23 years, we have created the MultiCamp repair kit, consisting mainly of our MULTIBOND products. We are camping enthusiasts ourselves and fully understand the needs of people who encounter various unexpected mishaps with their vehicles and other equipment while on the road or camping. Often, the ability to repair minor damage on our own saves our vacation and prevents us from having to change our travel plans.
The kit is packaged in a cardboard box labeled with a label and a general expiration date, and contains small doses of chemicals as well as small accessories designed to enable or facilitate repairs. Only adults should use the chemicals, as even a small dose of these substances can pose a threat to human life and health. Each package of a chemical agent in the kit bears safety symbols and describes the hazards.
Note:
- Adhesive tapes, films and mats should be cut to the required size and shape with scissors before use.
- Solvent-based adhesives cure once the solvents have evaporated; both surfaces to be bonded must be thoroughly coated and, once slightly dry, pressed firmly together (a vice, clamp, roller or rubber mallet may be used).
- Polymer adhesives require a large amount of moisture from the air and cure more slowly (24 hours). The adhesive layer must not be completely sealed off from moisture; adhesive layers of 0.5–2 mm are recommended.
- Water-based adhesives require the water to evaporate or be absorbed into the materials being bonded, e.g. wood.
- Two-component adhesives begin to set after mixing the components in a 1:1 ratio. The adhesive layer can be of any thickness.
- Instant adhesives cure with moisture from the air and set very quickly in thin joints on smooth surfaces, and slightly more slowly on porous materials.
- Bonding requires a certain degree of care and knowledge of the adhesive’s properties. We recommend familiarising yourself with our products via the so-called Technical Data Sheets, available at www.multibond.pl. The sheets are located in the individual sections of the website and can be accessed by clicking on the symbol beneath the image of the relevant product. Incorrect use of the adhesive may fail to produce the desired result or irreparably damage the material being bonded.

MULTIBOND 18 | 25ml | A white two-component epoxy adhesive with a soft paste consistency, designed for bonding rigid components together and filling gaps in cracked plastics, stone, concrete and metals.
